LAC-MÉGANTIC — Since André Fortin opened his dépanneur in Lac-Mégantic at 3 a.m. Sunday morning, he’s had a steady flow of regulars coming in for water, beer, snacks — and to tell him about family members and friends missing and feared dead after an explosion levelled the centre of this small town. His dépanneur is one of five in the neighbourhood, and the only one currently open. <a href="http://www.goldvk.com/Game.wow_eu.World of Warcraft - EU.wow_eu.Gold.Info.aspx">wow gold</a> One was completely levelled in the explosion, and the other three are within the evacuation zone. He’s not happy with the circumstances surrounding the uptick in business. “I’m like a psychologist behind the counter,” he said. “I know everyone, I see everyone. Everyone knows everyone.” Fortin has heard from customers who have lost everything. One man told him this morning his two children were missing. Another said both of his employees have disappeared in the fire, presumed dead. While Fortin was chatting with journalists, a woman came in and spoke about her son’s best friends, 13-year-olds, who have been missing for close to two days. Spreading out the Journal du Québec on the dep’s counter, Fortin and Marc-André, a regular customer, used a back-page aerial photo to map out their flattened neighbourhood. “Here’s the Musi-Café. It’s no more,” Fortin said, pointing to a popular bar that was at the centre of the explosion. Dozens of people were reportedly on the bar’s terrasse, right next to where the oil-filled rail cars detonated. “This is the Dollarama. They just finished renovations last week. It’s completely gone,” he said. The old library and city archives have also been destroyed, along with blocks of buildings on Veterans Blvd. Customers outside hisstore are sitting around and waiting for news since he arrived to open shop before dawn. A woman hung around on Saturday for 12 hours, Fortin said, pacing and waiting for a phone call. “It’s like we’re all camping,” said Fortin, who himself has been displaced. Almost everyone who came in left with a copy of the Journal, staring at the smouldering city plan on its back pages trying to make sense of the scene just a few blocks down the road.
